First Nepal Homestay Seminar at Kapan

The conference focused and hard discussion were carried out on various Home stay related issues like management of Homestay , effeictive monitoring , regulatory mechanism , pros and cons in Home stay operation.

Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma inaugurated the conference and said  “Homestay is perfect tools for employment generation for our  unemployed youth “

Kishore thapa secretary of Tourism and Aviation ministry said the government is always encouraging such kind of program which will help in discussing and solving the issue related with home stay operations .

While Prachanda Pan Shrestha CEO of NTB told that  it was a part  regular Nepal tourism year 2011 program’s campaign and such program will help in building trust and and partnership with local peoples in making successful the campaign.

Ranjan Sharma Khanal, member secretary of the Taragoan Development Committee emphasizes that as the objective of tourism will be only completed with it’s expansion to the rural area and without the participation of rural people it is impossible to reach our goal.

The two conferences was taken part by more than 150 participants from various part of Nepal and owners of Various Home stay that are under operations.

Various speakers and experts present their papers and all round discussion were made on paper  throughout the conference and several sessions of interaction was carried.

They share their experiences and challenges that will be coming in operations of Home stay . The conference went for two days and various issues related to Home stay operation, guidelines, policies were discussed widely by various tourism officials , experts, Home stay owners and concerned authorities .

The conference ended on the second day with the distribution of certificate to all the participants.
The Ministry of Tourism, Taragau Development Committee and Nepal Tourism Board are jointly organized the workshop with special cooperation of Kapan homestay village.
